location, location, location…

Some people have been asking where the School of Worship will be hosted this year.  I was scowering our site looking for that info and realized that we forgot to put it on here!  HOLY COW.  Just so you know, this years School of Worship will be held at The Venue.  That’s 29930 Hunter Rd. Ste. 103, Murrieta, Ca. 92563.

Hope that helps!

dialing in schedule

Well, things are definitely moving around here.  I think we’ve finalized our schedule for the weekend.  I thought I’d give you a sneak peak of what we’re looking at.  I’m especially excited about Friday night!

Friday Night – 7:00pm

Speakers – Eric Beeman & Dave Reynolds (tentative)
Panel Discussion On Team Dynamics

Check out more on the schedule tab!

mike mathis

Mike Mathis is set to lead the Rhythm & Groove Workshops on Saturday (drums & bass).  Mike and I started hosting Worship Schools almost 10 years ago and he was amazing back then!  I can’t wait to see what he brings to our weekend!  His bass tone stands on its own and his smooth, laid-back, butter-like groove will melt your heart for sure.  I’m hoping some of that juju rubbs off on all of our musicians this year!

Just Added Jeremy Blasongame

Stoked to have just added Jeremy Blasongame to the tech portion of our gathering.  Jeremy is an experienced A/V Tech Director.  Check out more about him on his blog http://churchaudio.blogspot.com/  He’s not a wordpress guy, but hey…  nobody’s perfect!

We’re excited to add Rich Kirkpatrick and his daughter Emilie to this years School of Worship. Rich is a coffee fanatic, social media addict and wannabe techie geek as well as a vocational musician. He has served in worship and ministry since college and has grown a readership of creatives and influencers who interact with his blog about faith, culture and ministry leadership. He loves leading worship and desires to see the family of Venture Church enthusiastically celebrate God’s grace together each weekend.  He’s one of the main contributors over at Worship Mythbusters, so head on over and take a look.

His daughter Emilie is currently working on her first professional recording, a three-song EP produced by Ramy Antoun.  You can read more about her journey over at emiliekirkpatrick.com

We’re excited to see how God uses them at this years gathering!
